5 Tips to Grow a 20K+ Audience for Your Business Using LinkedIn + AI 🌱

Your time is precious as a business owner.

However, growing on LinkedIn takes up too much time.

That’s why it’s important to use AI in your process.

Here are my 5 tips to achieve massive LinkedIn growth for your business:

1. Optimize Your LinkedIn Profile

Let’s start with the basics.

Optimizing your profile page is the first step of your LinkedIn journey.

Why?

Your profile page interests parties to learn more about you and your business.

Essentially, it is the bridge between your audience and you!

Here are the action steps you need to take:

  1. Make your profile stand out using a professional photo, compelling headline, and detailed summary highlighting your business's unique value proposition.

  2. Create a professional-looking banner for your LinkedIn profile

  3. Use relevant keywords in your profile to increase your visibility in search results.

  4. Ensure your profile includes your experience, education, skills, and endorsements.

  5. Add your call to action link in your featured section. MakeTip: Don’t include any description. This way, users can get to your desired landing page in one click.

  6. Turn on creator mode, edit your introduction section, and select a custom button. Mine is “Subscribe to newsletter”. You should paste your landing page URL here.

Now it’s time to learn how to use AI.

2. Learn to Leverage AI in Your Content Creation Process

Content creation can take up to 80% of your time when growing on LinkedIn.

However, AI can reduce its time-consuming process.

Here are a few ways you can use AI for content creation:

  1. Create viral lead magnets using AI: ChatGPT can help generate viral lead magnets such as ebooks, digital products, and cheatsheets. You’ll need to do the packaging yourself though.

  2. Write posts using AI: You can use tools like Supergrow, HeyGen, or Taplio to write your posts using AI based on human-written templates.

  3. Generate beautiful graphics using ChatGPT: You can create beautiful graphics using ChatGPT. Here’s a guide by Charlie Hills on creating AI avatars - it gets him lots of eyeballs! 👀

  4. Use Canva’s AI tools: Creating carousels can take lots of time. Check out Jonathan Parsons’ post about how to use Canva’s AI tools.

3. Use a LinkedIn Scheduling Tool (I use Supergrow!)

LinkedIn’s built-in post editor isn’t the best.

I recommend you use a LinkedIn scheduling tool called Supergrow.

Supergrow is an amazing AI LinkedIn scheduling tool.

Within its interface, you can:

  • Format posts well with markdown functionality

  • Get content inspiration in your niche

  • Get AI to fill in templates for you

  • Get recommended posts based on your previous work

  • Manage you content calendar

  • Use AI to engage in comments for you

  • Create carousels with AI

  • Generate LinkedIn posts from:

    • PDFs

    • YouTube videos

    • Articles

All in one place!

It’s truly a godsend.

The biggest benefit I get from it is this: it’s a different platform from LinkedIn, so I don’t get distracted by other LinkedIn posts.

LinkedIn is a social media, after all!

4. Build Content Creation Systems

Tracking to-dos can get quite messy when running marketing campaigns.

I recommend using Notion for this.

Here’s a sneak peek into my NewsletterOS, the system on which I run my business.

It’s also a great free platform for tracking and storing my prompts.

How I use NewsletterOS in Notion:

  • Ideas: I track ideas that pop into my head in the ideas column in the Kanban board view of my database

  • Newsletter: I then include the right ideas and shift them to the newsletter column. They will be included as the central theme for upcoming newsletter issues.

  • Short Form: Once a newsletter topic is chosen, I’ll shift the page to the short form column, where I will create short-form content on LinkedIn based on the content I share in my newsletter.

  • To Schedule: Once the content is done, I put it in this column so I remember to schedule it within Supergrow another day.

5. Start a Valuable Weekly Newsletter ASAP

Start a newsletter, period.

Why am I such a big advocate of newsletters?

That’s because I took a 90% drop in my online traffic in my blog.

SEO changed in 2022 and has kept changing till today, in 2024.

Pro tip: It’s super important to own your audience.

Don’t let the big tech companies be in control of your audience.

Start a newsletter.

You will own your email list with a newsletter even if LinkedIn / Twitter / YouTube / Google decides to ruin your business by banning you.

It happens to us all.

My email marketing platform of choice is Beehiiv.

Here are some action steps:

  • Create a lead magnet - give it in exchange for subscribing to your newsletter. It can be an ebook, digital product, or mini course. Just create a quick one with AI.

  • Create an email sequence sales funnel starting from your lead magnet and leading up to selling your product or service.

  • The sales funnel will help you build trust with your audience.

  • Send out an email daily/weekly - the frequency is up to you! Aim to provide maximum value for each of them. But start small and iterate and pivot content based on your audience’s preferences. (I only reached this point after 51 weekly issues.)
