↳ Utilizing ChatGPT to create powerful lead magnets.

The ChatGPT Lead Magnet 🧲

The single best marketing strategy I have is called the ChatGPT Lead Magnet.

Remember these ebooks and prompts in my AI bundle?

Most of these were ChatGPT lead magnets.

They brought in the bulk of you guys, my 1000s of thankful subscribers!

(BTW, I’m super grateful!)

I want you to use this method since it was too powerful not to share.

The method is simple - here’s the blueprint:

• 1. Conduct Market Research

• 2. Create the Lead Magnet in ChatGPT

• 3. Give the Lead Magnet a Pretty Packaging

• 4. Share on LinkedIn

• 5. Collect Email Leads

1. Conduct Market Research

You’ll always need to begin with market research to create a compelling lead magnet.

You need to define 3 statements:

1. Your target audience

2. One target audience pain point

3. Your offer

To help you define these 3 statements, you’ll need to dig deeper into your business's unique value proposition, search on Google for answers, and find out what’s been working on social media, for example, on LinkedIn.

Once you have a sense, try crafting them.

Here’s an example of what my 3 statements looked like.

1. My target audience is beginners who want to learn how to use ChatGPT prompts well for their work.

2. One of my target audience’s pain points is not being able to craft high-performing prompts.

3. My offer to my target audience can be either:

   • An ebook

   • A PDF guide

Here are some samples of lead magnets I’ve created in the past:

• A beginner’s ebook on ChatGPT

• A 1000+ prompts ebook

• A prompt engineering guide

Now that we’ve done basic market research, let’s get ChatGPT to do the heavy lifting.

2. Create the Lead Magnet in ChatGPT

This is the most time-consuming part of a typical lead magnet creation process.

Let’s get ChatGPT to ideate lead magnet content for us.

Head to ChatGPT.

Type in this prompt, changing out the text in [square brackets] for your own.

Here’s a sample for your reference.

Once you get a response, pick one of the choices you are offered.

Then, tell ChatGPT to write the lead magnet for you.

In my case, I told ChatGPT to write out 1000+ business prompts for me.

And you’re done creating the skeleton for your lead magnet.

IMPT NOTE: You must check the viability and accuracy of AI-generated content. ChatGPT can make mistakes.

3. Give the Lead Magnet a Pretty Packaging

ChatGPT only outputs text; that’s not enough to be a scroll-stopper on LinkedIn.

It’s time to give your lead magnet pretty packaging.

You’ll need to package it prettily in a few forms:

• A downloadable PDF ebook

• A downloadable PDF guide

• A digital repository on Notion

At this stage, you’ll want to decorate your lead magnet to attract your audience.

Examples:

• If your audience is teachers, you’ll want to make it professional for them. An ebook might work well.

• If your audience is tech-savvy students, then a publicly hosted Notion page will work well.

• As my target audience is founders and professionals who want to learn about AI, I prefer sharing a downloadable PDF guide made in Canva.

They are all lead magnets designed to get my audience within this newsletter.

4. Share on LinkedIn

Your ChatGPT lead magnet is now done.

It's time to flex on social media ;)

Head to LinkedIn and upload a mockup image of your lead magnet.

Copy the LinkedIn post template below, replacing text in [square brackets].

5. Collect Email Leads

Once the post goes live, interested people will start liking, commenting, connecting, and following.

Before all that, make sure you have a means for capturing emails.

My email marketing platform of choice is Beehiiv.

I created a Beehiiv landing page to capture emails and then sent a welcome email with the included AI bundle (lead magnet compilation).

Any subscribers who came just for the freebie (lead magnet) will be free to unsubscribe.

But over time, you’ll gain a loyal following of email subscribers.

Why should you collect emails?

Social media platforms work based on algorithms, and many times, they are out of your control.

An email list helps you own your own audience and takes the volatility out of your business.

It’s also easier to sell - 4.24% of email visitors make purchases, compared to 2.49% from search engines and 0.59% from social media.

Oh, and all those who have connected and followed you on LinkedIn are a plus, too!
