Creating LinkedIn content is a massive grind.

In fact, Iā€™ve taken a short break to finish creating my mini-course. šŸ˜ƒ

(While juggling full-time work now)

Coming up with ideas, writing posts, making them engagingā€”it all takes time.

AI can change that.

Use these five prompts to infuse some AI into your LinkedIn content pipeline and help you get MORE LEADS.

How I Infuse AI on 5 Parts of My LinkedIn Content Engine

1. Generate Endless High-Impact Hook Ideas

Most people struggle with LinkedIn because they donā€™t know what to post.

Instead of staring at a blank screen, let AI generate ideas that hit your audienceā€™s pain points.

I use this prompt to get hook ideas:

ā€œIdentify the top pain points, frustrations, or challenges professionals in [your industry] face. Based on those, generate 10 LinkedIn hook ideas that will spark engagement, position me as an authority, and invite discussion.ā€

Example Output (for AI marketing):

  1. ā€œWhy AI wonā€™t replace marketersā€”but the bad ones should be worriedā€

  2. ā€œYou tried AI for content, and it flopped. Hereā€™s why.ā€

  3. ā€œThe biggest LinkedIn AI mistake no one is talking aboutā€

  4. ā€œAI-generated content sounds robotic? Youā€™re using it wrongā€

  5. ā€œHow I turned AI into my LinkedIn growth engine (without losing authenticity)ā€

This takes the guesswork out of ideation.

You can then expand on that hook idea and write your post.

Which is what weā€™ll cover next.

2. Write a Post That Grabs Attention & Drives Engagement

Any good LinkedIn post needs three things: a strong hook, a compelling story, and a reason to engage.

Youā€™ve got the hook.

You need 2 more:

  1. A compelling story

  2. A reason to engage.

Use this prompt:

ā€œWrite a LinkedIn post using the 'hook-story-offer' formula about [specific topic]. The hook should be bold, controversial, or curiosity-driven to stop the scroll. The story should be concise but personal, showing real-world experience or a surprising insight. The offer should invite engagement or provide a clear takeaway.ā€

Example Output (Topic: AI Mistakes on LinkedIn):

  • Hook: ā€œAI-generated LinkedIn posts are killing your engagement. Hereā€™s why.ā€

  • Story: ā€œI thought AI could handle my content. I let it write my posts, hit publish, and waited for the likes to roll in. But nothing happened. No engagement. No traction. Just crickets. Turns out, AI is a terrible writerā€”but an incredible editor. The moment I started using it to refine my thoughts instead of replace them, everything changed.ā€

  • Offer: ā€œIf youā€™ve ever felt like AI makes your content sound robotic, try this: write your post first, then let AI optimize it. It changed my life. I got so many hours back to work on human things. Have you found a way to use AI without losing your voice?ā€

This format makes your post compelling, easy to read, and designed for engagement.

Youā€™ve got your post now, you now need to optimize it to perfection.

Letā€™s move on to the next step - optimizing the post for clarity.

3. Optimize Your Post for Clarity & Readability

Even the best ideas can flop if your writing is too long, too vague, or too complex.

I find that AI is a great tool for tightening up AI-generated content, surprisingly.

It makes it sharper and more engaging.

Use this prompt:

ā€œYou are the world's best copywriter. Take this LinkedIn post and make it more concise, engaging, and structured for readability. Keep the core message intact but remove fluff, improve flow, and ensure every sentence adds value. Break up long paragraphs, use punchier language, and make the CTA stronger.ā€

Example Before & After:

Before (Too Long & Weak):
ā€œWhen I started using AI for LinkedIn content, I thought I could just take whatever it gave me and post it. But my engagement was bad. Over time, I realized AI isnā€™t meant to replace your voiceā€”itā€™s meant to enhance it. You need to guide it, not just copy-paste. If your AI-written content sounds robotic, try focusing on refining instead of replacing.ā€

After (Tighter & Stronger):
ā€œI used to copy-paste AI content. My engagement tanked. Hereā€™s why: AI should enhance your voice, not replace it. Write first. Use AI to refine. Small shift. Big results.ā€

Notice how that sounds way more human and clear?

Now we need the right time to post.

Letā€™s learn how we can do that with an assist from AI.

4. Post at the Right Time for Maximum Visibility

A great post means nothing if no one sees it.

AI can help time your posts for the best reach.

Use this prompt to help understand when to post on LinkedIn:

ā€œBased on LinkedIn engagement trends, what are the best days and times to post for professionals in [your industry]? Provide an explanation for why certain time slots perform better, and highlight the worst times to post.ā€

Example Output (for B2B Professionals):

  • Best Days: Tuesday ā€“ Thursday (most professionals check LinkedIn during work breaks)

  • Best Times:

    • 8 AM ā€“ 10 AM: Before work, while checking emails

    • 12 PM ā€“ 1 PM: Lunchtime scrolling

    • 5 PM ā€“ 6 PM: After work, before dinner

  • Worst Times: Weekends (lower professional activity), late nights (content gets buried)

Generally speaking, you want to post at a time when your audience is interacting with the platform.

Once your post goes live, youā€™ll need to engage to see traction.

Letā€™s cover that next.

5. Engage Smarter & Boost Your Postā€™s Visibility

Contrary to popular belief, LinkedIn does not reward comments.

It rewards conversation.

The more discussion on your post, the more it gets shown to others.

A simple prompt like this can help you craft better replies to comments:

ā€œHow can I respond to this comment on my LinkedIn post in a way that encourages more discussion and keeps the conversation going? Make the response insightful, ask a follow-up question, and avoid generic replies.ā€

Example Before & After:

Before (Missed Opportunity):
Comment: ā€œI agree that AI should be used as a tool, not a crutch.ā€
Reply: ā€œThanks! I totally agree.ā€

After (Engaging & Thought-Provoking):
Comment: ā€œI agree that AI should be used as a tool, not a crutch.ā€
Reply: ā€œExactly! When you started using AI, did you find it hard to balance automation with authenticity? Iā€™d love to hear your approach.ā€

A simple follow-up question keeps the conversation going and makes your post more visible.
