1. How to Setup a Personalized Slack AI Chatbot for Your Business (Ad) 🧑🏻‍💼

No more pinging colleagues to get documents!

Have you ever wasted time trying to reach the right person to get a particular document?

QueryPal is an intelligent personalized AI assistant embedded within Slack; great for quick business use. (Sponsored)

Here’s how I set it up:

Step 1: Register for a Free Trial Account

First, you’ll need to head to their website and register for a free trial account.

You’ll be asked to sign in to your Slack workspace.

Give it the necessary permissions.

Step 2: Connect to Slack

Next, you’ll be prompted to head to the Slack app.

Within the Slack app, add QueryPal.

Click on “Select Channels to Read”.

Next, click on a Slack channel you want to connect QueryPal to.

Then, add QueryPal to a channel where it can be posted. Click on “Select Channels to Post”

Step 3: Try Out Their Free Trial

Next, click on “Go to Admin Panel” within the Slack app.

You’ll be asked to sign in on the QueryPal website.

From the admin panel, you can further customize the AI.

Step 4: Add Knowledge Sources

If you do not want to give the AI any more knowledge sources, skip to step 5.

For a quick setup demonstration, click on “Setup Lite” on the left panel.

At this stage, you might be asked to sign up for a free trial.

You will not be charged anything for a free trial.

Next, add knowledge sources including:

• Websites

• Connected apps like Google Drive, SharePoint, Onedrive, Confluence, Jira, Notion, and more.

• Upload files

For websites, key in your website URL and pick whether you want to index the whole site.

For integrations, just click on “Add Integration” and pick one that you need.

For me, I connect it to my Google Drive.

Step 5: Ask QueryPal Any Questions

Head to your designated Slack channel.

Type:

/ask [your question]

Will bring up a necessary command for QueryPal.

Ask it anything related to your business/documents!

Next, feel free to ask questions, tagging @QueryPal so it can read and answer questions.

You can also ask the AI assistant about documents in the integrated app that you’ve connected.

I have connected this prompt framework cheat sheet to QueryPal.

Here’s what it got back to me.

Of course, you can do the same by letting QueryPal look at your financial documents and pull out a particular invoice for you.

Here's another example where I tried to get information on an invoice from Supergrow.

Even if you don’t tag @QueryPal, it will automatically detect your questions and find answers for you.

Apple just announced massive updates during its WWDC 2024 event.

They are hijacking the term AI with their own version of it.

Apple is so good at coming up with these names.
